As Albertans we don’t change our government often. Our province has only changed government 3 times in over 100 years. The last time was in 1971. My father, Neil Crawford, was a key figure in the new government 40 years ago. The government they replaced had not recorded consecutive multi-billion dollar deficits. They had not stood by and watched while over 1000 teachers were laid off. The healthcare system back then was not in crisis. Our present government has been responsible for all of these and more. They are the same government we elected in 1971, in name only. They do not hold the same values of the government of that time. It’s time they were defeated. It’s time for change!
